Bringing in the knowledge of people involved in the performing arts, Learn again about barrier-free

People who are implementing barrier-free access and those who are working on it

A training and exchange meeting held by the performing arts production company “Precog.” It is also related to the fact that reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities by private businesses will be required from 2024/4, and based on the experiences and knowledge of people involved in performing arts, “where are barriers in performing arts in the first place?” We will think about it together.
The target is people involved in the stage who are currently already implementing barrier-free access or are planning to work on it in the future. Bricog, the organizer, was also planned from a place where they began thinking about “I've come here, but is this really OK” while putting effort into artistic activities with people with disabilities, and I wanted to learn once again what “rational consideration” is and basic knowledge about the “social model of disability,” which is important for knowing rational consideration. The knowledge that Precog has gained through his activities so far will also be utilized, leading to learning in line with the reality of the performing arts scene.

A place where people with the same problems can connect

The reason we turned this project into a meeting where people can gather in real life is, “I think people from the same industry who have the same sense of challenges will gather for this training. The reason is that “just being able to see the faces of people with the same problems and be able to connect is significant.” It is a project where I would like people to actively participate in the exchange meeting after the workshop, “I hope you can also use it as a place for networks to be born.”
Incidentally, Kyoto will be aimed at people involved in the stage, and Karuizawa will include points as tourist spots and event venues based on the land pattern.
