“I WANT TO LIVEN UP THE THEATER WORLD FROM KANSAI,” and “TO A THEATER FESTIVAL THAT WILL BE A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.” The Kansai Drama Festival, which started with festival director Itao Soji's thoughts, will also be 5 years old in 2023. Actor Minamino Yoko from Kansai was nominated as the executive committee decided this year. Under the theme of “Tsunagu,” various troupes from 10 troupes from all over the country trivia and a 4short film was presented. 360 people's “live voices” sent to a special panel

Similar to the Kansai Theatre Festival, the “Japanese Drama” Future Project Aims to Revitalize the Performing Arts Industry on a National Scale with the Theme of “Connecting.” Concerns such affinity, a special panel for satellite planning discussions was set up in the venue lobby. Visitors and Theatres Companies were asked to spell out “Issues of Japanese Theater” and “Thoughts on the Future of Theater” on sticky notes. Also, a list of 25 organizations represented in the satellite project is posted next to the sticky note panel. By spreading satellite projects from all over the country within the Kansai Theatre Festival, we aim to “connect” more places, people, and the future. Visitors also visited, and the number of sticky notes with their live voices spelled out went up to 360. Concerns, including festival director Itao Soji, and the Diverse Voices were also discussed on SNS. Strongly are high not only for offline but also for wider reach and new “connections” online.
