The “Homecoming Workshop” of the “Gekidan Short Range Men's Missile” was formed in 2011/4 immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake to “hit Sendai and Japan after the earthquake,” and is based in Sendai. Among professional staff active in the Tokyo theater industry, people with ties to Tohoku will be held in the 6 prefectures of Tohoku (Fukushima Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, Yamagata Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Akita Prefecture, and Aomori Prefecture).
Staff who are active on the front lines from each prefecture in Tohoku will be taught as lecturers, and it will be a time to attend professional discussions that are different from technical , such as what kind of they read scripts from and what kind of stories they talk about at meetings. An exchange meeting was also held after the workshop. The fact that theater people other than workshop can also be considered in this meeting considering the thoughts of the theater company later.
As you can see from events such as “Michigeki,” where young actors perform in Tohoku's 6 prefectures, Tohoku is an area described by connections in units called “Tohoku” rather than “prefectures.” However, The Troupe member Musha Takumi of the Theater Company Attached Range Ondo Missile, who felt that connection was getting narrower due to the effects of the coronavirus, created This project highlights “I Want to Reconnect Now.” “I want to know and connect with the people considering in creating works for the Tohoku stage. That thought led to the project. If we want to make better works, I think it's very important not to work on our own, but to get to know each other by connecting the Tohoku network” (Masha).
